A shot of the "A"-team on the way to Scotland!

Our first bag piper in Scotland.

This is where it gets tricky. This is one of many castles we saw.

One of the many cathedrals.

Another castle, I may have to add names later.

Amy and I with a Scottish guard in the back ground.

Me in front of an old bathhouse. Don't mind the close up of me, they were rushing us back to the bus.

This was the first taste of Scotland.  Scotland turned out to be my favorite of the all the different places we went. I only go a taste of Scotland and would love to go back.

View of the England country side from the bus.

Waiting to get on the steam train going to Lake Windermere

Amy and me on the steam train.

On the boat on Lake Windermere or maybe it's just me being a dork.

Ashley and Amy told me to do my best "King of the world" pose.  I got half there. We are on a boat waiting to see Lake Windermere.

One of the beautiful views from the boat.

Amy and Ashley checking out hot guys...oh wait they are just posing for a picture.

On the boat trying to get a good shot of being on the boat and the scenery.

Our next journey was to the lake district, where we got to go on a steam train and see some pretty beautiful scenery, and then a boat ride where we saw even better scenery(except there was a dead duck floating in the water).

This was a cemetery by our first hotel.  It seriously looked like something out of a Edger Alan Poe Novel.

Outside of Shakespeare's home.

Me doing my best Hamlet pose.

Ashley and Amy in front of a Bridge in Stratford.

Me with a cute gargoyle.

Me kissing that gargoyle.

This picture was taken in York..  Apparently people used to be a lot shorter so the doors were shorter.  This one was just a bit higher then my head.

Another very short door.  I guess I was born in the wrong generation for short people.

The Cathedral in York.  It was pouring rain so it was hard to get a good picture with out ruining the camera. we ended up hiding under a tunnel then braving the rain to get back to our bus.

On our second day(first day with our tour group) we visited two cities in England: Stratford the home of William Shakespeare and York.  In York the rain hit very hard so, I didn't get that many good pictures.  Our tour guide was very good about telling us the local history of these two cities.  In York there was a woman who lived(I can't remember her name), but she hid Catholic refuges(If I remember right that's what they were), when she was caught they executed her by crushing her to death.  They put a board on her and then one by one they added rocks to crush her.  In the 1970's they Sainted her for all she had done for the refuges.  I thought I would just throw in some of the history I learned, but apparently I didn't do so well remembering names.

Amy and I outside the Tower of London. Don't mind my cheesy smile.
An Aubree-sized door at the end of the Tower Bridge.

Me in front of the Tower Bridge.  It was very windy so my hair was flying everywhere.

Another shot of the Tower Bridge.  It was an amazing site.

In front of one of London's many monuments.  I swear they have a monument for everything.

The road to get closer to Buckingham Palace was closed because they were taking down the Diamond Jubilee, so this is the closest shot we could get.
This was the first day in England, we walked around  our hotel for a bit and it started raining.  I took out my umbrella and almost took Ashley's eye out when opening it.
I really wanted some pictures by the red phone booths in England, I just think they are so cute.
Amy and I in from of Big Ben.

Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans--John Lennon.  This quote is the inspiration for my blog.  My life has taken twists and turns didn't expect.  The latest twist was a trip to the United Kingdom. I thought I'd share a few pictures right now. All of these ones are taken in London on out free day.  As you can tell we need umbrellas and rain jackets most of the trip. My friends from the photos are Ashley and Amy, people from our group started calling us the A-team.
